Assam's round, sweet and malty flavor is the full-bodied base of most Irish breakfast blends - traditional and perfect. The dry leaf is beautiful, made up of black leaves and tobacco-colored golden buds. Our Assam comes from the Satrupa Estate in northeastern India, the mecca of tea.
Assam Black Tea Jar, 2 oz
Steeping the perfect cup: Fill your kettle with fresh, filtered water. Bring it to a boil and use a bit to preheat your teapot or cup. Place 2 teaspoons of leaves per 6 oz cup into your pot or infusing basket. Pour boiling water over the leaves and steep for 2 - 3 minutes. Remove the leaves and serve. Assam is delicious with milk and honey.
